Our system for training in Hand Surgery and Microsurgery is carried out in our institution, oriented to the instruction and training of surgeons specializing in Orthopedics, who wish to develop in the hand  area.
 

It is under the tutelage of the Andrés Bello National University and supervision of the Chilean Society of Hand Surgery and Microsurgery, the annual training program is carried out.

This is based on the training of both open and arthroscopic surgery of the wrist and hand as well as microsurgery and neurotendinous repair.
 

We have one fellow per year, with a fundamental participation in all the activities of our team both in the aspect of scheduled surgeries and emergency surgeries.
 

We perform at least 1100 surgeries per year, in which our fellow participates in most of these.

A solid participation has also been made in theoretical activities of case review, review of papers and participation in journal clubs to share knowledge and experiences of the team with our students. Presentation in clinical meetings of our orthopedics service as clinical cases of the speciality. Active representation in national and international conferences, with the preparation of publications of our work.
 

At the end of the stay, a formal evaluation of it is carried out, with a final exam to end the basic training.
